Summer 2020 Online Registration

In compliance with the City Colleges of Chicago’s decision to provide remote instruction, we have transitioned to online learning. Students will connect to their classrooms via Zoom. Carefully read the registration options below and click the appropriate link to register.

Group 1: Continuing Students
Students who are currently enrolled in the Spring 2020 classes must complete the Malcolm X College Summer Continuation form. Click here to continue enrollment.

Group 2: Former students
Students who attended classes at The Learning Center between July 2019 and February 2020 and have an active test score on file must complete the Malcolm X College Summer Registration form. Click here to register.

Group 3: New Students
Students who do not have a test score and have not attended Adult Education classes at The Learning Center or Malcolm X College in the past year must apply through the City Colleges of Chicago’s website. Click here to apply.

Class Schedule
ABE
& HiSET:
Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

ESL: Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Spanish Literacy: Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Computer Skills: Monday through Thursday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Cost
In our commitment to supporting adults who want to improve their education, all classes at The Learning Center are FREE.

Registration
*You must register in person at The Learning Center and take a placement test before the 1st day of classes. To view when our next session will begin please click here.
*Registration is open Monday through Thursday between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
*Placement testing will take place at The Learning Center on determined dates. To view future placement testing dates please click here.
*Please allow approximately 15 minutes for registration and 2 hours for placement testing.
Requirements
*All students must show a current ID to verify residency.
*If you are 16 or 17 years old, you need to provide an official Release Form from the last high school you attended.
