National Adult Education & Family Literacy Week – September 20-24, 2021
Join us all week long to celebrate and support Adult Education & Family Literacy Week!
Note: You must be a TLC student to participate.
Monday, Sept. 20th – Writing Contest
Tell us why adult education matters to you in 25-50 words.
Submit a 25-50 word response (3-5 sentences) on why adult education matters to you. Be creative and write from your heart! You can write your response in a poem or lyric form.
The first prize winner will receive a $150 gift card! The second place winner will receive a $100 gift card.

Wednesday, Sept. 22nd – Book Pick Up at TLC
Visit The Learning Center and pick up a book for yourself and for a child in your family.
Please complete the following form to receive a book for yourself and for a child in your family. Books will be ready for pick up at The Learning Center (2153 S. Millard Avenue, Chicago, IL 60623) on Wednesday, September 22nd from 9 AM to 5 PM.
If you are unable to pick up your book(s), please call The Learning Center at (773) 277-3111 to schedule a different pick up time.
Thursday, Sept. 23rd – Virtual Rally at 11 AM
Join the Chicago Citywide Literacy Coalition VIRTUAL Adult Education Rally!
